Report Production Administrator

We are currently recruiting a Report Production Administrator for our Grays office.  This is a full-time permanent position, 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri.

Duties include:

  • Producing reports detailing asbestos content of surveyed properties
  • Using Microsoft Visio to produce floorplans and accurately annotating
  • Editing inspection data entered by surveyors and correcting errors
  • Cross checking work produced by the department
  • Regularly communicating with internal departments and field staff during the report production process
  • Collating register data in Microsoft Excel to send to client when required
  • Issuing reports to clients when necessary

The right candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience

Required Skills:

Essential

  • Computer literate including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Able to use two computer monitors concurrently – there is a requirement to view information on our inhouse database and compare/enter data into a secondary client database
  • Able to maintain focus under pressure, to work to specific deadlines, and achieve a minimum number of reports each day
  • Must have strong communication skills to be able to liaise with site staff, quality reviewers, and project managers
  • Pro-active, self-motivated and able to work in both a home and office environment
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Adaptable and the able to learn new tasks/skills quickly
  • Polite, professional, can-do attitude
  • Strong team player
  • Dependable

Desirable

  • Experience with Microsoft Visio

Asbestos Bulk Analyst

We are currently recruiting an Asbestos Bulk Analyst for our Grays Laboratory.  This is a full-time permanent position, 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri.

Job Specification

  • Logging samples received by the laboratory
  • Preparing samples for analysis
  • Asbestos Identification analysis bulk materials in accordance with HSE 248 Guidance notes
  • Other laboratory duties/assisting the Lab Supervisor as and when required *

Person Specification

Essential

  • BOHS P401 Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples or RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Bulk Analysis
  • Relevant Asbestos Analyst experience in a UKAS accredited laboratory
  • Experience of Stereo and Polarised Light Microscopy techniques of analysis
  • Accuracy / excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work well in team
  • Self-motivated
  • Good eyesight (with or without glasses) with good colour vision
  • Computer literacy – excellent in MS Word and Excel
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable
  • Good time management
  • Ability to work well under pressured

Desirable

  • BOHS P403 / RSPH qualification:  asbestos in air monitoring/testing
  • Experience in quantification of asbestos in soils
  • Able to work overtime

Asbestos Surveyors

Are required in several regions across the UK, including;

The North West, South East, East Midlands, South and South West.

Duties will include, in part;

  • Undertaking Management Surveys
  • Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys
  • Preparation of Survey Reports
  • Air Monitoring
  • Fibre Counting
  • 4 Stage Clearances

The Candidate;

The successful candidates should hold BOHS P402 or equivalent Asbestos Surveying qualification (e.g.: RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Surveying)

Experience working for a UKAS accredited company and any additional Asbestos Qualifications would be beneficial (i.e.: COCA).

An excellent remuneration package is on offer together with a commitment for further training and advancement with the company.

Dual Role: Asbestos Surveyor & AFM Analyst

Are required in several regions across the UK, including;

The North West, South East, East Midlands, South and South West.

Duties will include, in part;

  • Undertaking Management Surveys
  • Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys
  • Preparation of Survey Reports

The Candidate;

The successful candidates should hold qualifications as above for Asbestos AFM Analyst and Asbestos Surveyor: BOHS P402 and BOHS P403 and P404 or equivalent Asbestos Surveying qualifications (e.g.: RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Surveying and RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Air Monitoring and Clearance Procedures)

Experience working for a UKAS accredited company and any additional Asbestos Qualifications would be beneficial (i.e.: COCA).
